Building Your Website
What can a new website actually do for my business?
A well-built website is a business asset that works for you 24/7. Concretely:
A trusted first impression. 75% of people judge a company’s credibility on website design alone (Stanford), and they form that impression in 50 milliseconds. A professional-looking site means customers pick you over competitors who look less credible.
More enquiries. A site built around getting the phone to ring - not just looking nice - puts calls-to-action, contact forms, and clear next steps where customers actually see them.
Found by local customers. Structured properly for Google from day one, so people searching for your service in your area find you first - not a competitor.
Fast and mobile-friendly. 60%+ of Google searches now happen on mobile, and slow load times send visitors elsewhere (a 1s→3s load-time delay increases bounce rate by 32%). A fast, thumb-friendly site keeps visitors around long enough to become customers.
The right website doesn’t just look better than what you have - it actually brings in more business.
How long does a new website take?
Most builds take one to two months from start to going live, depending on the size of the site and how quickly content and feedback come through. We’ll give you a clear timeline at the start.
We also offer an expedited build for an additional fee if you want to move faster. Worth considering, especially in less-competitive local niches: a professional site tends to build momentum over time - better first impression, more customer trust, more enquiries, stronger local rankings. Getting there sooner means those benefits start sooner.
If you’re currently one of only a handful of businesses in your area with any real web presence, the head start can be significant.
How much does a website cost?
Every website is priced individually, based on the type and size of your business and what the site needs to do. Payment is usually split into stages rather than paid all at once. The best way to get a real figure is a free consultation - we’ll talk through what you need and give you honest pricing.
Do I own my website?
Yes - completely. Your website, domain and hosting are all set up in your name. There’s no lock-in and no proprietary software. If you ever move on, everything is yours to take with you.
Do I have to manage the website myself?
No. Your site is fully managed - nothing to log into and nothing to learn. When you need a change, you email it over and it gets done, usually within the hour during working hours.
Getting Found on Google
How long does SEO take to work?
Honestly, it depends heavily on the competition in your industry. In a niche with limited local competition, you can experience a meaningful uplift within weeks of starting.
For more established or competitive industries, it can take anywhere from 6-12 months or more to see substantial gains - and requires ongoing investment and refinement to keep producing results.
Either way, SEO is a long-term strategy - it builds steadily over time. We’ll always give you a realistic picture for your specific situation at the start.
What’s included in your monthly SEO service?
Technical SEO, local SEO, Search Console analysis, keyword research and targeting, Google Business Profile optimisation, llms.txt setup for AI search visibility, internal page linking, and link/citation advisory. It’s all handled for you each month, with nothing for you to manage.
Am I tied into a long contract?
No. Our SEO runs as a rolling monthly service - SEO needs consistent work to deliver - but it’s not a fixed-term lock-in. To cancel, we simply ask for one month’s notice.
Is your SEO safe for my website?
Yes. We only use white-hat methods - legitimate, approved techniques with no shortcuts or risky links that could get a site penalised. We also help with penalty recovery if a previous provider has caused harm.
Do you work on websites you didn’t build?
For SEO, yes. We work on plenty of sites we didn’t build.
A candid caveat though: sometimes it’s not the SEO that’s holding you back - it’s the website itself. A site that’s slow to load, poorly coded, or doesn’t project a professional image will often turn customers away even when they do land on it. Ranking better just sends more traffic to a page that isn’t converting.
If that’s what we find, we’ll tell you straight - and you’ll get an honest, professional opinion on whether SEO alone will get you where you want to go, or whether the site itself needs work first.
Running Paid Campaigns
How quickly will Google Ads bring results?
Much faster than SEO. When campaigns are set up properly from the start - tight ad groups, negative keywords in place, landing pages structured for Quality Score - enquiries can start coming in almost immediately, sometimes within hours of going live in less-competitive markets.
Bigger or more competitive markets take a little longer to settle in, but you’re typically talking days and weeks, not months. We’ll always give you a realistic picture for your specific situation.
How much should I spend on Google Ads?
There’s no fixed minimum. We recommend a budget you can afford comfortably, without putting pressure on the business. We’d rather start sensibly and build than push you to overspend.
How is your management charged?
A flat monthly fee, not a percentage of your ad spend. It keeps things simple and means we’re not incentivised to push your budget higher than it needs to be.
The fee is set based on the time and ongoing management your account actually needs - a small local campaign takes considerably less work than a multi-region national one. It’s reviewed annually, so it scales fairly if your account grows or your requirements change over time.
We only use a percentage-of-spend model for very large ecommerce stores where that structure genuinely fits.
Can you take over my existing Google Ads account?
Yes, we do this regularly. We’ll audit what you have, find where budget is being wasted, and restructure the account so it works harder. The account stays yours throughout.
How do I know the ads are working?
We set you up with call tracking and lead tracking, so you can see exactly which calls and enquiries your ad spend is generating. You see the value, not just the cost.
Am I tied into a long Google Ads contract?
No. Google Ads management runs as a rolling monthly service. To cancel, we simply ask for one month’s notice. We’d rather keep your business by delivering results.
Website & Marketing Audits
What’s the difference between the free and paid consultation?
The free 30-minute consultation is a general overview - a look at the broad areas of your website, your branding, a brief review of your content, and whether your site is indexed by Google. The paid consultation goes much deeper, covering local, on-page and technical SEO across all search engines, and reviewing the site in detail from your customer’s point of view.
What do I get with a paid audit?
A detailed written PDF feedback document with prioritised, plain-English recommendations - no jargon. We translate everything we find into concrete opportunities that actually matter to your business:
Where you’re missing enquiries you should be getting - the parts of your site where visitors get confused, hesitate, or give up entirely.
A page-by-page review of your written content - what’s working, what’s costing you enquiries, and what needs sharpening for both customers and search engines.
Why you’re not ranking as well as you should on Google - and the specific changes that would move you up.
A clear order of what to tackle - so you know which fixes will make an immediate difference and which are longer-term investments.
Deeper reviews can also include recordings of real visitors using your site - actual evidence of where and why people struggle.
Do I have to be technical to understand it?
Not at all. Everything is explained in plain English, with no jargon. The whole point is to give you a clear picture you can actually understand and act on.
Is the consultation a sales pitch?
No. The advice is honest and impartial - you get a genuine view of what’s working and what isn’t, whether or not you go on to work with us.
Can you review more than just my website?
Yes. As well as your website, we can review your Google and Bing search presence and your Google Ads, and advise on where your time and budget are best spent.
Do you cover my area?
Almost certainly. We’re active right across East Anglia. Reviews can be done remotely, and we’re happy to meet in person throughout Suffolk and Cambridgeshire to talk things through.
Who We Work With
What industries do you work with?
Very broad. Over 12+ years we’ve worked with local trades (plumbers, electricians, painters, decorators, scaffolders, groundworkers, roofers, builders, joiners, tilers, plasterers), specialist B2B services (asbestos removal, septic tank cleaning, industrial suppliers, waste management, technical inspection, labelling, print), and professional services (accountants, architects, consultants, IT support).
Also health & aesthetic clinics (aesthetic clinics, osteopathy, veterinary practices, dental practices, private medical), sport & leisure businesses (dance schools, gyms, coaching, community clubs), hospitality (pubs, restaurants, cafés, event venues), and everyday local services (cleaning companies, driving schools, tutoring, pet care, delivery). If you run a legitimate business trying to grow, chances are we’ve built for someone like you before.
Do you have experience in my specific industry?
Very likely - over 12+ years we’ve worked with a wide range of small and medium-sized businesses across many industries. But even if we haven’t built for your specific niche before, our collaborative onboarding does the heavy lifting.
We spend proper time upfront learning your business inside-out - what you sell, who your customers are, and what genuinely sets you apart from the competition. We then make sure those strongest selling points sit front and centre on your website, in a way that’s easy for customers to read and impossible for them to miss.
The result is a site that immediately looks like a professional, credible operation - the kind of business customers feel comfortable picking up the phone to.
Do I need a specialist for my industry?
There are genuine trade-offs both ways.
An industry specialist will likely have a stronger grasp of your specific business than we would on day one - the terminology, the regulations, the seasonal patterns. That’s real value, and worth something.
But specialists often use a limited set of templates within their niche, so your site ends up looking like your competitors’. Design and user experience can take a back seat when industry knowledge is the main sales pitch. And many specialist providers build on top of third-party platforms - restaurant booking systems, dental SaaS, salon software - which means monthly platform fees you can’t escape and no real ownership of the site itself.
Our angle is different: meticulous design, proper ownership (site, domain and hosting all in your name), and a thorough onboarding where we take the time to learn your business inside-out at the start. We won’t know your industry as deeply on day one, but we ask enough early on that nothing important gets missed.
If a specialist is genuinely the right call for you, we’ll say so on a free chat. Otherwise, we can almost certainly help.
Are there industries you don’t work with?
Yes. We won’t work with adult content, gambling, get-rich-quick schemes, MLM/pyramid businesses, or anything that raises serious ethical concerns. Beyond that, if you run a legitimate business trying to grow, we can almost certainly help.
Do I need to be a specific size of business to work with you?
No hard rule. Our sweet spot is small and medium-sized businesses - sole traders through to teams of around 50. Very small startups and enterprise-level operations are usually a poorer fit, but we’ll always give you an honest answer on the free chat.
Getting Started
How do I get started?
A free 30-minute chat, either over the phone or on a video call. We’ll talk about what your business is trying to do and give you honest advice on what would actually help - no pressure, no sales pitch. If you want to move forward, we’ll put together a quote and get going from there.
What areas do you cover?
We’re based in Suffolk and work extensively across East Anglia - Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Essex and Hertfordshire. We also work remotely with clients across the UK, so location isn’t a barrier. Face-to-face meetings are easy across East Anglia if that’s useful.
How quickly can you start work?
It depends on the service and current workload. For monthly SEO or Google Ads management, we can usually start within a week or two of signing off. For a full website build, we’ll agree a proper start date so we can commit the time your project needs.
What if I’m not sure what I actually need?
That’s exactly what the free chat is for. Tell us what your business is trying to do - more enquiries, better website, first ranking on Google, whatever the goal is - and we’ll tell you honestly which service (or combination) would actually help. Sometimes the answer is “you don’t need us yet” - and we’ll say that too.
Can I speak to someone who’s worked with you before?
Yes, references are available on request. We’ve also got 22 five-star Google reviews you can read in their own words on our reviews page, and real client work on our case studies.
Still Have A Question?
If your question isn’t here, ask it directly. Free 30-minute chat, no obligation, no pressure - honest advice on whatever you want to know.
